You can’t just promote any old thing to all of your readers, especially if they are in different markets. For example, you wouldn’t promote mineral makeup to a market that is interested in classic cars.

I know that seems like a no-brainer, but youd be amazed at the number of affiliates who don’t realize how important it is to know your market and what they want. Instead, they see the term affiliate marketing, immediately think “easy” money and start throwing links for everything under the sun out to their visitors. Well many of them don’t stop there, they pass it on to their lists too (if they even have a list that is).

Yesterday, we talked about redirecting your affiliate links. I hope you’ve had a chance to begin redirecting your links, either on your own site or through a new domain. If you haven’t, then don’t forget that easy, yet many times forgotten, step toward becoming a super affiliate.

Today, I want to kick it up another notch and put you even further on your way to becoming one of the super affiliates of your chosen program. We’re going to talk about eCourses and squeeze pages in today’s lesson.

Obviously you know what an eCourse is since you are in the process of one right now with these emails. One way to really get people who are interested in what you have to offer (targeted customers) is to create an eCourse that you can promote your product(s) inside of.

eCourses can be as long or as short as you’d like to make them; just remember the key is to teach your readers something and offer them tips and tools (affiliate promos) to help them accomplish their goal.

Create your eCourse and load it up in an autoresponder so it’s all automated. Always be thinking big and being consistent!

Once you’ve created your eCourse, then it’s time to set up a squeeze page where people can go to sign up for you course.

You can do this in a variety of ways. You can buy a new domain specifically for the course or set up a page on an exisiting site of yours where you can send targeted traffic. Either way works as long as you take the time and do the work to get people there.

Redirecting Your Links – It’s So Easy Yet So Many Don’t Do It

Welcome back!

Are you ready to get started with today’s lesson on boosting your affiliate profits through the roof by becoming a super affiliate?  I hope so, because today’s lesson is so simple, yet tons of affiliates skip this step every single day.

How many times have you been at a website, seen a recommendation for a product and when you went to click the link you saw a long, ugly, jumbled mess for the link? As you know, that was an affiliate link.

Now, how many times have you decided against clicking the link just because you knew it was an affiliate link? Do you see where I’m going with this? Those long links are such a turn off aren’t they?
The majority of affiliates who sign up for an affiliate program don’t realize just how often people skip over their link and go right to the main website once they see the affiliate link. Or worse yet, they self-discount a product by going directly to the program, signing up themselves and then using their own affiliate link to purchase the product.

Speaking of self-discounts, it’s not good business practice to help yourself to one. It’s not fair to the affiliate who did the work and made you want to buy, and most affiliate programs don’t allow it.
Stop and think about how you’d feel if someone did that with you! Bottom line, Don’t Do It!

Ok, now that I’ve gotten that off my chest (sorry about that little rant), let’s talk about a couple of ways you can redirect your affiliate links.

The first way is to set up a redirect on your own website. Sure, people who have been around probably realize this is an affiliate link, but it still just looks better and it won’t freak out those people who don’t understand affiliate marketing when they see a link from a trusted source (you) in their email.

To set up a redirect on your website, simply create a blank page on your site and name it something that makes sense. For instance, if I was promoting EasySales.com I could create a page on my site that looks like this: mysite.com/greatsales.html

Then copy the following code into your blank page, inserting your affiliate link where it says AFFLINK including the http://

<body>
</body>
</html>

Now whenever you want to promote that product simply use the link mysite.com/greatsales.html

The second and more super affiliate (thinking bigger) way to redirect is to purchase a domain name just for the product you are promoting. Honestly a domain name can be purchased for little and depending on the product, you’ll make that $10 or less back with one promotion!

Of course, you probably won’t want to do this with every single product you promote, but if something is a good seller, a product that you love, something you’ll promote often, OR a recurring commission go ahead and do it.

Let’s say you are promoting a product whose URL is myaffiliateproduct.com. A good choice for a redirected domain would be something similar like myaffiliateproducts.com. (plural)

So, there you have it – setting up a redirect can make a difference in your affiliate promotions and today I want you to choose one of the above mentioned methods and redirect at least one affiliate product link (more if there are more) from your chosen affiliate program.

I use this software all the time. Sometimes I completely cloak the affiliate page so that the web site visitor never, ever sees it. And sometimes I don’t. More often than not, I cloak the affiliate link. I’ve never been disappointed with this software.

A super affiliate isn’t an affiliate who wears a cape with a big red S on it, but instead is an affiliate who shows great achievements with his or her recommendations. In other words, a super affiliate is one who makes more sales than a normal affiliate. Now, at this point you are probably asking yourself, “How can I possibly sell more than the majority of affiliates who promote product X or service Y?”

This is why many writers take great pains to ensure that their copy is personalized so that readers will feel that it was written with their interests and needs specifically in mind.

Being able to personalize your copy means that what you will produce is unique – a testament to your skills and talent. If you want to personalize your copy, here are 4 ways you can use your one-of-a-kind style to write copy that truly stands out:

  • Know who you are

Psychologists, writers and marketers from Hippocrates to Brian Tracy have created labels to categorize each person’s personality. That’s why you get words such as Sanguine, Choleric, Melancholic and Phlegmatic and the more recent Driver, Analytical, Amiable and Expressive. What about you? Are you upbeat? Assertive? Aggressive? Optimistic? Laid Back?

Find out which personality type you are if it’s still unclear to you. Taking tests or asking close friends for their opinions will help. You could also check your writings in the past so you can compare how you have progressed over time.

  • Be who you are

One common mistake among writers is that they try to be something they are not, thinking that readers will appreciate the effort. Wrong. Readers can be quite clever at spotting fakes so the tone and manner of your writing will tell them whether you’re bluffing or not.

Instead of pretending to be someone else, use your own quirks and personal ways of expression to write your copy. You’ll find that it will be easier to write and the flow of the copy will be looser and more effortless.

  • Speak to your readers through your writing

Try using the first and second person when writing. Imagine that you and your reader are engaged in a real discussion. How would you talk? How would you present your ideas? What words would you use?  By writing an article that sounds as if you were speaking to the reader directly, you will be able to produce a highly personalized copy. The flow of ideas will be much more natural and easy to relate to.

  • Personalize your copy but be useful

There is a point in a writer’s work where he or she must compromise. After all, the end user of a write-up is not the writer but his readers. If your readers cannot relate to or understand what you have to say, then all your efforts would be in vain.

Try to write copy that your readers will find interesting and useful, something that will allow your personality to shine through at the same time. Personalize your copy by making sure that readers equate you to quality write-ups and information that they can truly make use of and value.

Four Golden Rules of List Building

check There are many sources and articles in the internet available for everyone to read and follow in building a list. Sometimes they may be confusing because there are so many and there different ways. Different groups of people would have different approaches in building an opt-in list, but no matter how diverse many methods are, there are always some crucial things to do to build your list.

Here are the four rules that you should have in mind when building your first (or the next) list:

Strategy #1:  Put up a good web form in your site that immediately follows the end of your content. While some may say this is too soon to subscribe for a website visitors application, try to remember that your homepage should provide a quick good impression. If somehow a website visitor finds something that he or she doesn’t like and turns them off, they may just forget about signing up.

A good web form for subscribing to an opt-in list is not hard to do. Just write a simple short statement about how they would like to see more and get updated about the site. Then there should be an area where they could put in their names and e-mail address. This web form will automatically save and send you the data’s inputted. As more people sign in, your list will be growing.

Strategy #2: As mentioned in the first tip, make your homepage very, very impressive. You need to have well written articles and descriptions of your site. Depending on what your site is all about, you need to capture your website visitor’s fancy. Make your site useful and very easy to use. Do not expect everyone to be tech savvy. Invest in having good programming in your site, make your graphics beautiful but don’t over do it.

Don’t waste your time making the homepage too overly large megabyte wise. Not all people have dedicated T1 connections, the faster your site gets loaded, the better. Go for a look that borders between simplicity and sophisticated knowledge.

Strategy #3: Provide good service and products. A return customer is more likely to bring in more business. Even then and now, a satisfied customer will recommend a business always. Word of mouth and recommendations alone can rake in more business than an expensive ad. As your clientele roster grows so shall your list. With more members on the list, the more people will get to know about what you have new to offer.

Strategy #4: Keep a clean and private list. Never lose the trust your customers have entrusted you. If you provide e-mails to others and they get spammed, many will probably unsubscribe to you. Remember, a good reputation will drive in more traffic and subscribers as well as strengthen the loyalty of your customers.
