These bonus items are added to a product to add value to the product and help the buyer feel like they are getting more than their money’s worth when they purchase.

The same is true for your referrals. Give them a reason to buy through your link versus someone elses. Make it something of value that they can use.

There are a few ways you can do this, but one of the easiest, especially if you have no way of knowing who purchased from your referral is to have them forward a copy of their receipt to you via email.

Here are just a few ideas of incentives that go over well:

1. A reduced price on one of your own products.
2. One of your products for free.
3. If you’re a service provider offer X amount of hours of work.
4. Cash – nothing says “Thank You” like cold hard cash!

So, put your thinking cap on and get creative. Think about what you can offer someone who purchases using your affiliate link. Make it good because you won’t be the only one doing this. Many of the big dogs already do this, but it’s still not as many as you might think and besides what you have to offer just might appeal more than those other guys!
