Don’t fret if you aren’t seeing results from your efforts right away…it takes time for the search engines to find you and all the links out there.
Today we’re going to pull out one of the articles you wrote back in “Day 1″ and use it to boost traffic in another, quicker way.
Once you have your article written and published, either in article directories or on your website (you did do both right?), you’ll want to send people to read it. A great way to do this is through social networking sites like Twitter, Facebook, StumbleUpon, message boards, and others.
Here are the two hottest places to be right now:

Now social networking is not something you do half heartedly if you want to reap its benefits. You can’t just join Twitter and do nothing but post links to your own stuff and expect the traffic to soar.
You have to actually “be social” in your social networking. Imagine that! 
When you join these types of sites, you want to give your followers, friends, etc. a reason to actual pay attention to what you have to say.

Spend time getting to know people and chatting about some other non-business related stuff as well. Be friendly and informative first. Let them get to know you and they’ll be more receptive when you do give those links to visit.
A word of caution when it comes to networking sites:
They can easily be distractions and eat valuable business time. USE WISELY!
If you’re already a member of Twitter or forums that pertain to your website topic, head over and post a few links to your article. If you haven’t joined any groups like these yet, pick one or two and get started today. Remember give informative information and get to know people before just throwing your links out there.
Here’s a tip for you: The more people you have talking about you on these sites, the better it looks so showcase your knowledge through helpful information and they will start talking for you. Word of mouth marketing is one of the best forms of traffic generation.
By the way…if you’re a member of these networks, but don’t have time to post to them all or, like me, are easily distracted, consider hiring someone to do it for you.
